As a note, I was in a goth scene long before this list came into
existence.  Yes, I was participating in the goth scenes of other
cities before '97, though, which is why you wouldn't have seen me
around.  So the assumption that I was basing claims on strictly 90's
goth scenes fails.  Plus, I was in High School during the 80's.  I
remember that decade well.

(While I didn't actually get into a goth scene until '91ish, that was
still early enough in the 90's to still be 80's, culturally
speaking... plus the people I hung out with then were definitely 80's
goths.)
