The Gothees are playing the late show at Club Cafe on Tuesday October 
31st. That's right Halloween with The Gothees...it does seem 
appropriate - no? With SPECIAL GUESTS - FOXY DEATHBOX!!! Classic horror 
and sci-fi clips, trailers, commercials and more will be projected 
during the show and lots of tricks and even more treats will be 
featured at the Halloween Show du jour.

Waldo will be bringing out his new Theremin... YES! The Gothees now 
with 3 theremins! Hmmm...I guess you only have 2 wishes left now!

About The Gothees:

The Gothees are an entertaining and eclectic mix of 
performers-cum-musicians who have a unique and often perverse way of 
slanting the dominant paradigm of rock/pop music or something along 
those lines. Their music may be best described as an unsettling mixture 
of '60s pop distilled with a hint of '80s influences topped with a 
slight pinch of the punk aesthetic. Imagine the bubblegum pop tunes of 
The Monkees and The Archies interpreted by The Velvet Underground with 
Ian Curtis of Joy Division as lead vocalist ... really.

Originally a 7-piece ensemble formed in 2002, for what was to be a one 
off performance, the band recently played their 50th show.

Now a quartet (although sporadic guest appearances from past members 
abound) - The Gothees are releasing their first full-length CD in 
December - recorded in 3 studios over the course of 18 months and after 
enough studio drama to make Spinal Tap shake their heads.

Two previous LIVE CDs were released by the band and available only at 
shows (But Is It Art? and Down at the UpTown) - but both have since 
sold out, although Is It Art? a live EP attached to a cereal box 
version has shown up on eBay... twice!

The Gothees official debut CD - Meet The Gothees will be available at 
their CD release party at this December (just in time for stuffing of 
black fishnet stockings!)
