Of course, since the Black Cat's at *14th* and S, you could still end up
pretty lost even though you're only a block away. ;)

My complaint about the metro is that it stops running too early. Since
I live on the orange line and most of the clubs and other venues are on
other lines, I have to allow time for train transfers and such. On
weeknights, when the metro stops running at midnight, it's essentially
unusable. Even on weekends, when it runs until 3am, I have to be there
by 2am to be sure that I'm going to catch a train. I don't necessarily
want to have to leave early from concerts or clubs, so it becomes
necessary to drive.

But pretty damn expensive if you're going outside of the city proper . . .

Goth/industrial options in the city are becoming more and more limited
recently, and will be even moreso once Alchemy ends in July. However, I
think that once that happens, we'll be more likely to see something new
start up. The problem with Galaxy Hut is that it's too small and not
really setup well for bands. If it's not too crowded it can be ok, but
on a busy weekend night it can be nearly unbearable.
