I have the opposite phenomenon, actually.  I go into Digital Ferret,
peruse their used bin alone, and come out having spent $100-200 in a
single trip, easily.  I haven't set foot in Eide's since friends who
used to work there told the stories of the owner's rampant White
Supremacy (apologies to Jim, it's not reflective of his views or
selection); but before then I rarely found anything I didn't already
have.

Btw, my brother and sister-in-law have pointed out that supporting
Jim's efforts at Eide's could take precedence over the whole owner
White Supremacy thing, which I thought was a good argument for going
back there -- but they made that argument just two days ago, so I
haven't had the chance yet.  But even so, my experience remains
opposite yours on this score.
