This evening in <( theAbyss )> with dj.darkFIN...

A selection of tracks from Pittsburgh industrial act [FORCED], and a live phone interview at the beginning of the show with singer/songwriter Jim Semonik.

[FORCED] broke up in 2003, just as their debut release Cherophobia [DSBP/Optikon Records] was selling out of its first (and thus-far, only) pressing. But frontman/songwriter Jim Semonik has re-kindled the soul of the original act with a new group of musicians to form the band REIN[FORCED]. Their upcoming album The Futile Longings of a Condenscending Man--mastered by Mika Goedrijk of Belgium's This Morn' Omina--is due out by month's end.

REIN[FORCED] will perform live along with Run Level Zero, Moulin Noir, Agnes Wired For Sound, and Cyber_Strukture this coming Sunday at the Garfield Artworks in Pittsburgh. In the meantime, we will present to you a selection of original tracks and remixes from Cherophobia by [FORCED].

Then, stay tuned the 2nd hour, as you'll hear brand-new music from Black Ring, Cyber_Strukture, Genetic Selection, Thou Shalt Not and more...

<(theAbyss)> airs Thursday nights from 7 to 9pm (UT -5:00) on The Lion - 90.7fm (WKPS, State College) as part of the RPM electronic show. You can hear live streams via our website (Lion-Radio.org), as well as check out recent playlists and links in the RPM section of our message board.

Catch you on the dark side....
