live shows are cool, obviously, but another solution might be holding
a less-frequent idm night. or maybe an every-once-in-a-while idm
night. at Ceremony Boston, for example, they hold the weekly
goth/industrial thing, but now they've started hosting a special
monthly IDM night on the same night that Ceremony's supposed to be
(called Singularity) after it flopped as an independent night - and it
works, people like it, the DJs have a good time; but, of course, it's
boston, so there's a bigger nerd audience to tap out there. the people
still dance.
