Wow, Parker... nice way to work the plug! (How much is Jim slidin' ya for that one, eh? =) Eide's should consider changing their anniversary to about a month or two later--when folks actually have their tax returns in-hand. God knows I can't afford a thing right now.

One thing you forgot though... the complete hassle of dealing with ISOTank. I put up with so much shit to get Skinny Puppy tix that there's no way I'll ever deal with them again for anything. I don't remember the details, but I do remember that shipping rates were insane and they wouldn't ship to my house via standard mail (where I have a secure mailbox--and no untrustworthy co-workers lurking around). [All that, and then at the show, the staff at the Electric Factory were such complete assholes about so-called "security"... And when it was all said and done, Mario was still walking around with a 5" spike coming out of his face--but they're harassing kids with pyramid studs on their belts and bracelets!? What a complete waste of energy that show was! lol]

Yeah, but we might be the only ones who have to pay sales tax... their
business is officially still located in PA, I think. Still, better
than IsoTank or Storming the Base, to whom we must render both sales
tax and shipping costs. But then Amazon takes neither (on orders over
$25).

Given the amount that I buy, I often spend some time just comparison
shopping on all the major sites to figure out the most economical way
to order. IsoTank generally has the best prices and a good selection,
industrial-music.com usually does best with Metropolis stuff (the
label is run by the same guys), Storming the Base usually get imports
cheapest, and Amazon is almost always the best bet for major labels.

Of course Eide's has its niche; it's usually more expensive than mail
order, but there's no shipping, and Jim has good relationships with
some tiny labels like DSBP. Also, next week is Eide's anniversary
sale, which means 20% off everything!
