summer reading

All good reads here. Dumas' work, like most stories that were originally
serialized, is energetic, fast-paced and exciting. I liked Any Rank's
Fountainhead, even if it is a behemoth. As for Eco, I enjoyed Name of the
Rose, but that's about it.
As for my summer reading:
Lazy by Peter Stoops. An ex-member of Whitehorse. Reminiscent of Burghs,
though more emphasis on human filth and abuse than drugs.
The Bloody Crown of Conan. Yep, Conan thee Barbarian. R.E. Howard's original
UN-altered work is finally being republished, without the sad pastiches that
have marred his reputation. Like many pulp writers, Howard doesn't get
nearly as much respect as he deserves, writing with a lyric savagery
reminiscent of Jack London.
I've also been paging through Voluptuous Panic, a book put out by Feral
House, on the subject of Weir Berlin's decadence.

I don't "do" school.
Currently, however, I am reading...
The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas.
The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand.
Foucault's Pendulum (Umberto Eco)
