Chances of reunion gigs were close to nil, since the band was pretty much
scattered and most of the members had "real life"  commitments like day
jobs.  Nonethteless, it was something to hold on to...

Of course The Dead Milkmen had matured and veered away from their punk
rock roots, which seemed to hurt their popularity.  Although, frankly, I
thought _Soul Rotation_ was their best album.

I don't normally engage in sentimental reminiscing at times like this, but
The Dead Milkmen (on a friend's mix tape) were my first introduction to
"non-mainstream"[*] music, and as such hold a dear place in my heart.

suburbanite in the 80's.
