i think people just weren't coming, plus the headliner DJs cancelled a
couple of times, and liz just lost interest and patience. it's pretty
hard to get any kind of indie-rock dance night going here (let alone
an experimental one) - people just don't have the cultural frame of
reference to party-jump - this isn't brooklyn and we're a couple years
behind trends anyway. those kids already had upstage 80s night to go
to whenever they wanted - i don't think they saw action as being very
necessary, at least not as necessary as going to a show. liz also seems
like the kind of person who gets bored easily with things and moves on.
