speaking of dreampop whatever,
possibly the best ethereal/shoegazey album of the year has come from
leftfield from an area you did not expect: the postrock/laptop electronica
realm. of course these distinctions are quickly collapsing because you can
put whatever guitars you want on your computer anyway. Fennesz's 'Endless
Summer', among several other recent releases, already made this clear.

most of the songs feature the vocals of Julee Cruise (of Twin Peaks fame)

btw: Markus Schmickler was here in Pittsburgh at MIT in 2001 as part of
the Ultrasoniq I fest (with Fennesz and Pita) if anyone remembers that.
this is Pluramon's third proper album if you don't count the "Bit Sand
Riders" remix LP.
